With this pitcher you get one of the strongest filtering systems. It is a durable, high quality product with a long lasting filter and flawless design. But with a bit slower filtering process and slightly higher price than regular pitchers available on the market.

The Clearly Filtered Company was started in 2011 and in their mission statement they stress their commitment and dedication to providing the best filtration system they can.

Clean water on our planet is becoming more and more of an endangered resource. We definitely need good filters, and we appreciate their effort and research.
We have spent a lot of time writing about the importance of clean water in this review.

But we want to make the point of how much it means to have a water filter that you can trust. There is no doubt in our minds that the Clearly filtered Water pitcher has an incredible ability to filter most known contaminants.

About Filtering Process

After doing research on quite a few water filter pitchers out there, we’ve found that many of them remove odors and tastes but fall short of removing the actual contaminants. There is no end to worry about our water supply being polluted, but ultimately we all have a personal responsibility to find a system that gives us confidence.

A few things we find in our water supply are:

  • Fluoride
  • Chemicals
  • Disinfectants
  • Microscopic plastic
  • Herbicides
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Heavy metals
  • Harmful elements
  • Industrial compounds
  • Bacteria
  • Micro-organisms

One of the things we liked most about this product is that the company claims it uses what they call the Affinity Filtration system and it is a dual approach that can remove 99.7% of 232 different contaminants. That is a very large claim over most water pitchers on the market, which is backed by a NSF/ANSI certification.

Clearly Filtered Pitcher Details

Some people don’t seem to notice the taste of water. But it was always important for us to mention how water tastes. What is disliked about tap water is you can get up at night to pour a glass of water to drink and you smell the chlorine before the glass is half full. And the taste is even worse. We found the Clearly Filtered water tasted much better. Removing all the bad taste from water definitely makes drinking water more pleasant.

One of the pros of the Clearly Filtered Water Pitcher is that it holds 10 cups. That is the so called standard of modern pitchers, used by families, so you tend to fill it up less often. It could be a big deal at our house who filled the pitcher last and who emptied the pitcher and didn’t refill it. So filling less often is a great thing. You would think a larger pitcher would make it bulky or hard to handle. But this isn’t the case, it has a large handle that makes it easy to manage.

  • One of the best filtration systems
  • 10 cup capacity
  • A dam to keep un-purified from pouring out
  • Good customer support

  • More expensive than those you find in stores
  • No indicator to change filter
  • Slower to filter than some other brands

Things To Be Aware Of

There have been some complaints that the pitcher did not pour well and was faulty to some degree. But we did not find this to be the case. At some point there was a problem with the design and the company have improved it by upgrading the model. This is a review of a newer model , which has no deficiencies such as glug, glug sound and no leaking or spilling.

The packaging and set up of the Clearly Filtered Pitcher gave no more problems than any other water filter. And while the overall price of the pitcher is more expensive than some, it is definitely not the most expensive that we’ve tried. Replacement filters for the pitcher are a bit pricey as well, but not nearly as expensive as maintaining house units or buying quality bottled water. The ease of filling up the pitcher is much better than lugging in those huge packages of bottles that disappear so fast in the summer.

One of pet peeves with water filter pitchers is that unfiltered water will spill out of the top reservoir when you pour. So we were really pleased to find out that this cannot happen with this pitcher. Because they created a dam to hold back any water that has not gone through the filter.

Final Words

After considering the pros and cons of the Clearly water filtration system it is up to you to decide what is best for your family and budget. It is safe to say though that this model is one of the best and safest options to go with. But always do some comparison shopping to see the other alternatives that are out there. What is a good fit for one may not be for another.
